My wife and I met Colin Hay at the start of a tour he did in Ireland around 2004ish. And we met him at the end of the same tour the next year in Orlando (coincidental). We got interested in him after seeing him in an episode of Scrubs. Great voice and he was a gent.

I just wanted to let you know that I love you and I appreciate all the effort you’re putting into these conversions/uploads. In my book, you’re the favorite for “2026 Hero Of The Year”. Thank you, thank you, thank you

I remember getting this album on cassette and wearing it out. Their music was so catchy and fresh for the times.

This one has a strong nostalgia hit for me. There’s a few that really hit that spot and this is one of them

Australian music from the 80s – can’t be beaten. Such a unique and recognisable sound to anyone who was around to experience it.
Our small population and level of isolation before the internet and modern times gifted us with such an amazing music scene that was based on ability to play live moreso than record sales. Can’t think of another time or place that I would have preferred to grow up than Australia in the 70s and 80s!
Thanks for your work on these OP, have been enjoying them!

I miss the old Comedy Central days where they just played SNL and Kids in the Hall all day.

First, I Love Men at work.
Second, I’m loving all of these old school posts
Third, I had no idea that SNL reruns were on comedy Central in the 90s. I grew up in the 90s so I guess I just wasn’t paying attention

As a non-American, I find the whole guest star special photo fades to actual star’s cringey gushing musical guest introduction (they’ve been doing for half a century) some right old hackneyed shit.
Edit…. But the actual performances are great, have you got The Beastie Boys and Elvis Costello?

In addition to the great music, just so cool to see these bands getting introduced by these actors/celebs from my youth. Saw the one with the Ruth Gordon introduction yesterday, and man, I haven’t thought of her in probably 30 plus years. True old school cool.

His acoustic version of Overkill has been on repeat on my Spotify Playlist for days now. What a great band.

I was in middle school and an SNL fanatic during the Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscapo years. Between SNL, Fridays and AB, I was exposed to so much great music. Thank you for the trips down memory lane. Please keep them coming.

Men at work is one of my favorite bands. Business as usual is a perfect album to play in the car and cruise around aimlessly at night
