As someone who both loves history and works in construction, this is fascinating.
Even with today’s modern technology and project of this size would be a massive undertaking

Amazing location. Threw a frisbee through those columns as a college kid visiting Spain for a summer.
What’s really impressive: it’s dry stacked. There is no mortar holding those stones together. Just precision.
