So it might turn out that letting the Israelis bomb Iran’s oil infrastructure was a disincentive to reopening the Strait of Hormuz. It was also Iran economic lifeline and up until a couple days ago a point could be made that Iran might be willing to ease up if it meant getting money back into their economy.

Served on a minesweeper. Using $1 Mil a piece guided missiles to blow up a 15ft pleasure boat dropping mines is exactly what Iran wants. Especially when there are 1000s of these boats available to them. Also once mines are laid they are really time consuming to detect and more so to remove. Other thing is I haven’t seen any reports of the US minesweeping fleet shipped and deployed to the area.
