Came across this on instagram. Guy didn’t credit the woman he was talking over or link to her original reel. It might have been a fun video if he did, but this way he’s really just another asshole stealing a woman‘s work.

The story about the DNA stuff sometimes annoys me a little bit and how simplify people make it. Like she did all the work and they just stole it.
I fully agree she deserved a lot more credit than she got, but that wasn’t quite that simple. I wasn’t just that she did the things, figured the problems, and they just published it.
They were particularly she needed to her with regard to her contributions, and she deserves a lot more credit, but they did a lot more than swooping afterwards and steal somebody’s work.
And part of the reason they got the Nobel prize, is what other people were similarly identifying the structure of DNA, they wrote the best paper.
