The only time I go to an actual register is when the store doesn’t have self checkout. I can’t fathom waiting in line for someone to check my stuff out, especially at Target.

As an employee at the sparky blue store, the way it works there is employees do a test on the computer. If they pass, they get their own password for the registers.
The reason three quarters of the registers are closed is because all the employees that passed the test are doing shopping for delivery orders. So, if you want people on the registers, stop ordering online.
Do that anyway. Manning a register is better than shopping for an order imo.

I remember the Walmart near me nwver having self checkouts. Went to buy condoms when I was 19 and had some old lady be the cashier and she made it as slow as fucking possible cashing me out
