Because screw night shift and people with kids to pick up from school.

    1. Nursing homes around the nation are understaffed. Firing the folks most likely to cover your night shift needs is a bold maneuver compared to holding multiple meetings.

    2. Sounds to me like Randy is the reason for the staffing issues. Guarantee that he’s not planning to pay folks off shift for coming in to this “mandatory” meeting.

Upper management should probably consider replacing Randy and not the employees he’s fucking with.

    3. I like the playful Word Art choice just above the threat of losing your job. Really gets the severity of the message across, you know?

lol. Pretty sure it’s illegal to refuse excuses for certain absences.

Jesus… Someone THAT poorly educated in a management position. This is a sinking ship if I ever saw one. I’d say this is your cue to run

Has a serious decision in human civilization ever been made by a guy named Randy?

    7. Had a manager do this one time and 40+ people begrudgingly crammed in to the conference room that normally sat like 10 tops. The meeting time came and the only one that didn’t show up was the manager. I wasn’t even mad, was petty awesome.

    8. Randy sounds like an a-hole. Hopefully Randy stubs his toe all day on everything.

    9. Organize it so 2pm rolls around and everyone is outside somewhere, let randy spend a few moments thinking everyone quit and his ass and watch him freak the fuck out.

    10. Earlier this week, my company just called everyone in for an early meeting (30min earlier than office time) just to make it convenient for the CEO to announce new round of layoff. He got some other meetings after you see.

    11. Both hospitals I work at have mandatory all staff meetings. I haven’t been to one yet. They can email me the notes.

The way to work around that is to get everyone who’s not rostered on to just not turn up. What are they gonna do, fire everyone? My wife works aged care. They are short staffed as is and it’s not an industry that can afford to not have employees as people need to be cared for.

    13. If the staff had any sense no one should attend. Let him sack his entire staff and see where that leaves him.
