    1. I still buy all kinds of stuff there. I just got $1,500 worth of LEGO for $300. I got my first car there too.

After project x came out me and my bro put our party flyers on the list and we had like 30 people from there alone showed up😂

I had some hella cool hookups, with a couple that turned into ltrs, thanks to craigslist. 2008-2012 was a wild time.

Sold 3 fucked up cars on Craigslist. Like, visible auto accidents. You’d thought I was selling crack how quickly folks bought those cars

It was all fun till the Craig’s list killer ruined it. Always someone.

Bought a 1985 delta 88 for $600 in 2009 that baby was so sweet. Slid on ice and hit a telephone pool head on. Baby was rolling no dents!!

I made the mistake of looking for a legit massage on Craigslist back in those days. Hotel skanks all the way down.

    8. Found my first major job after moving off Craigslist. Bought so much stuff off Craigslist. Advertised Xbox repair services and had flagging fights on Craigslist. Great times.

Got a boyfriend, an apartment, and a cat on CL in the late aughts. Still have the cat.

Back when CL first came out I got everything there- apartments, cars, jobs. It was the place to go for anything! I miss those days.

    11. I still do Craigslist all the time. Just put in my town name and see what comes up that I’d want to go pick up.

Bought a $3,000, (at the time, still full price and available for purchase) Anthropologie wrought iron bed frame, head and footboard for $200 on CL bc I was able to get to seller within 3 hours.

      Aughts CL was a time.

    13. was it craigslist where a dude started a trading chain with a red paper clip and got a house at the end?

I was alive then 57 M here. It was crazier than you heard. And it was real. And I saw and tasted that real. I’ll just leave with you that

What changed …people started taking everything to fn seriously. If anything is now done is via the dark web ….the places don’t talk about or even places they don’t even know exist

    16. I sold a pair of file cabinets that were thrown out at a job I got let go of, the same day I was let go. I was walking out, saw them, and posted on “for sale” pair of commercial file cabinets. I posted the for $40 and said call, they are downstairs in the trash room next to the freight elevators.

Got two calls, one guy said he was on his way and had a van. Second guy said “can you deliver?” Told him they were sold. Guy pulls up in a van and I help him load the cabinets. I got paid and went to have drink.

When I need to sell stuff I still use Craig’s List. It takes a lot longer to sell but the people I’ve sold too have been legit. No BS. No ghosting. No fake accounts. Just gotta see through all the scam emails for a while then you are good.

I was living in San Francisco when Craigslist first started. What a time to be alive. 🥰

I got decent apartments, small appliances, and freelance job opportunities from the OG Craigslist.

When I had to move back to the east coast, I got rid of most of my furniture, etc thanks to Craigslist (made a bit of change, too).
