    1. I think we can safely call that obeying the letter rather than the spirit of the law.  What next, crossbows?

The Roman short sword gladio and the block shield wall were more effective than the phalanx to prove that the Roman army conquered the Greek empire in only 50 years

Everyone wants to be medieval until India starts to bring the war elephants.

India can counter with Macedonian ‘Sarissa’. It was up to twice the length of the ‘Dory’ spear used by other Greek formations but it comes at the expense of needing to use a smaller shield because it’s a two handed weapon.

Alot of the things I hear points to formations in medieval times had little more gaps then we imagined most of times.

So… what IS defined as a Firearm on this border then?

Is it anything as low tech as a flintlock pistol/rifle?

      What about automatic crossbows?

I feel like the comments are taking this too seriously.

This reads more like its heading the direction of the Whisky Wars(Canada and Greenlands active territorial dispute) the passed year or so.

Where its trying to become more silly and fun spirited than actual conflict escalation through our historical war progression up to guns.
