    1. I mean, it’s not like we did not expect this. And the last two weeks the question was not even when.

Do you think those aren’t connected?

Americans government has money for war but not to feed the poor

Maybe thats why your rent is 3k and you have 6 jobs?
Another 1000 billion to israel will definitely help your life.

    4. The US government be giving money to other countries (the blue one) and spending on war instead of their people

Of course you don’t care, you can’t even afford to.

You should. Gas prices will probably explode, since any time anyone sneezes they go up.

No hope for the young ones in the private sector, better enlist if you want healthcare, housing, and tuition assistance! Also you can get that sweet sweet Camaro with your sign on bonus 😎 sign your rights away today!

Pro tip: enlist, go fight and die. 1) You’ll get paid to enlist 2) You’ll only have to work one job (cannon fodder) and as a bonus 3) If you hate the job…welp, you can do the ULTIMATE “I QUIT” and show them who’s boss. That’ll teach em!

These people not thinking expensive wars affect their income/rent/inflation is a wild take.
How do you not think one thing affects the other? In what world do you live in.

hey moron, gas is gonna be 50$ and your cousin’s gonna come home in small chunks. But sure, politics isn’t for you, it’s for the little kids your cousin bombed.

There’s a quote in my country said by the “first king” somewhere 400years ago, goes something like this

“If the citizens are fat, The castle will always remain strong”

Explains ignronace of current americans, where they don’t want to trade their comfort even if it means the “castle” remains stronger compared to the citizens

    11. I’m half Arab and have family in the affected areas.

We can’t all be so privileged to be able to say this. But go off

They do this with your tax money and let you suffer in poverty so yeah maybe you should care I guess

If this is someone’s reaction to their country starting a war then the government can get away with just about anything.

You’re working 6 jobs because you’re producing resources for a pointless war in the Middle East.

this is painfully relatable because i’ve definitely had moments where the world is on fire and my brain is just like “cool but i’m one minor inconvenience away from a breakdown” 😭

    17. Wow.  Really goes to show what a bubble of wealth and privilege Americans live in to just assume that going to war with another country couldn’t possibly impact their living standards.
Though to be fair, in the past few decades it largely hasn’t, something American soldiers have surely noted.  But just because it all worked out in the past doesn’t mean serious losses or setbacks aren’t a possibility now.

It’s as if we’re setting out to prove the old adage about empire: wooden clogs going up, silk slippers coming down.

    18. Op that’s because they want you to struggle so you don’t give a fuck about the bad shit they do

    19. Then good news, it’s the fault of the same people so maybe next time you get a chance do something about it.
