An antique bronze plateau was laid in an Etruscan tomb from the 7th century BCE. Interestingly, the bowl has a strange figure scratched at the bottom. The object was admired by the author of the photo in Great Palaestra in Pompeii (not sure if it can be seen there still). [1200×1121]

I’m willing to bet that the drawing on it isn’t even half as old as the plateau itself, and done by a very young artist lol
Kaylee: Looks like it was made with, you know, longing. Made by a person really longed to see a swan.
Inara: Perhaps because they’d only heard of them by rough description.
Dilbert, is that you?
some kid was pissed his bowl kept missing
Did the tomb belong to an Etruscan kid whose mom killed him for drawing on great-grandma’s antique bowl?
