Vicious circle of pirate websites.

    1. I feel like this isn’t even just about pirate sites. The second anything useful or under the radar gets posted to a huge audience, it’s basically on borrowed time. It’s kinda crazy how fast something can go from “nobody cares” to “everyone’s watching” overnight.

Hey let’s all agree to keep our goddamn mouths shut about our off label software usage instead of blabbing like self snitching morons in *public forums*

    3. Next level would be making the video about your own site so that you could earn clicks from both ends.

PSA. If you find a really good pirate site:
      Shut. The. Fuck. Up.
The longer its hush hush the longer we can enjoy it before we get evicted from the site and have to look for a new one.

    5. I don’t quite understand what “website gets taken down” means. At least because there are huge pirate sites that have been operating without mirrors for decades.

Moreover (it just seems interesting in this context), some resources in my native language are a mix of legal and illegal (comics, anime, books), where things can be posted directly from people/companies who own the rights to something, and from fans who just “find” it online and they translate it, without any rights/agreements.

The creators don’t actually care about it being taken down, they just make a new one right away with a similar url.
