In 1965, two years before ATM machines were introduced, a drive-in bank was launched in Porto, Portugal, featuring video calls and pneumatic tubes
*Drive-in banking
*Live video communication with a bank operator
*Pneumatic tubes to send money and documents
*Cash withdrawals and deposits without entering the branch
Although there drivein US banks during 1940s, they had onsite tellers.
Dude this is the way all banks did drive through banking, and many still do (though typically without a video call). I have no idea about Portugal, but although there were rudimentary ATM machines out in the world as early as 1967, but in general ATMs became a common
“thing” in the early 1980s. Drive through banks like this still exist.
Edit: shit that sounded mean. It was a totally cool vid; and a good candidate for the sub; sorry… a bit stoned.
