      Joke aside I could almost see this coming from some old Albanian or Thracian Yaya or Nena.

      Pretty sure some people in that region still call France Gaul or Gaullia.

    2. This is clearly a joke. These names were used at different times in history…… by a lot. Carthage? That hasn’t been used since before JC, and the Ottomans are centuries apart lol

    3. Teutonic fucking knights!? My ancestors fought long and hard to make sure that was not the case. LIETUVA, LIETUVA!

    4. This is actually pretty cool. Now I want to learn origins of all these names.

      For example, I knew that in french, Dutch people would be sometimes addressed as Batave, but didn’t immediately realise it was a Germanic tribe name.

    5. Pretty spot on except replace the Avars with the Cumans and put the Avars where Hungary is today.
