David Ralston refused Trump's pressure to overturn Georgia's 2020 election in that December 7, 2020 call. Two years later, he's dead at 68 from an "extended illness" that nobody has ever publicly identified.

No diagnosis. No specifics. No explanation. Just "health concerns" on November 4, 2022, and dead 12 days later on November 16.

For the longest-serving state house speaker in the nation at that time, the complete silence about what killed him is unusual. When high-profile politicians die, families usually disclose the illness – "after a battle with cancer," heart disease, etc. But not here. Total information blackout.

The recording of Trump pressuring him wasn't released until December 2025 – three years after Ralston died. Now in February 2026, Trump's FBI is raiding Georgia election offices pursuing the same debunked fraud claims Ralston refused to help with.

I'm not saying there's definitely a connection, but I am saying the pattern is worth noticing:

Refuse to help Trump overturn the election

    Develop undisclosed illness

Die at 68 with zero public information about cause

Recording released only after you're dead

Trump regains power and weaponizes DOJ against the same state

The system protects its own and punishes those who don't comply. Sometimes the punishment is prosecution. Sometimes it's career destruction. And sometimes people just… die under unclear circumstances and nobody asks questions.

The silence itself tells you something.

    1. I remember thinking this pedo rapist was finally done for after this and Jan 6th. Bastard should be in a cell or the ground

Is the part just before this available? I’m sure he said that, but we need something to play that’s irrefutable. He could have said anything before this sound bite.

My Trump Supporting Acquaintances: SHOW ME PROOF!

      Me: Plays this recording

Them: HE’S JUST PLAYING 36 DIMENSION CHESS! ART OF THE DEAL! BIDEN!

    4. Anyone he labels as an enemy is easily disregarded because he himself is an enemy of American democracy. Trump will gladly welcome American authoritarianism in place of democracy.

Anyone he stands for democracy should be disgusted by his open and brazen corruption.

    5. Tbh I thought that surely it was over for Trump when I heard the [Raffensberger conversation](https://youtu.be/vL_JHbWv6io?t=25) back in 2021. He’s repeatedly told the results are accurate but continues to press the election official to “find him” the votes he needs. To me that seemed like the sort of thing he should have been shamed out of ever holding public office again but it barely registered.

This stuff will absolutely happen again assuming they haven’t just replaced anyone who would hold the line against him by vetting them in advance… and he’s right, who will stop them?

    6. The only thing that saves him on this, is that he didn’t say, “Don’t tell anyone I’m telling you this, but”.

Trump threatened the Georgia attorney General with the same logic… the election was rigged and people were going to jail so public officials should just get on board and invalidate the election.

Imagine the same scenario today with Pam Bondi amplifying Trump’s lies. That’s what we can expect in the midterms.

Trump is such a corrupt dirt bag. His cult members deny everything even when the proof is staring right at them.

It should be the president’s face with this recording because the speaker did the right thing and Trump was trying to cheat again

    10. We should donate all his wealth to child education, college education and all those he stole from.
