Translation: ‘My lord, have pity on me! My eyes have no more tears to cry for you my poor children; farewell, farewell!’ It's currently on display in the Marie Antoinette exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum

I thought you had this printed as a doormat at first lol
That is so sad. Hard to imagine what it was like waiting for her own death like that.
My French history isn’t the best, so I was surprised that she had children, and I’m wondering what happened to them.
