This beautiful necklace of Princess Khenmet was found on her mummy, and is formed of a series of amulets made of gold, and set with semiprecious stones, such as carnelian, turquoise and lapis lazuli. Ca. 1932-1898 BCE, now housed at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo [1280×2090]

That craftsmanship was possible almost 4000 years ago… absolutely wild.
Insanely looked like 3D printed. Modern and beutiful.
The fact that it survives to this day and is so intricate and still so vibrant is extremely moving.
