Here is the full show if anyone is interested while at first they are joking about the situation after the second plane hits they immediately recognize its a terrorist attack and begin to be worried and start taking calls and what not

First joke was probably a Boomer like “I got good news and bad news. “Good news is im off. Bad news is I may need to find a new job”

Holy shit Howard stern mentioned. If you always heard the adults talking about him and didn’t understand why when we were younger, just listen to all of his old stuff now. It is absolutely timeless

Let’s be honest, given Howard Stern’s track record, is it really a surprise that he did that?

He beat Donald Trump by a few minutes.  Trump couldn’t help but “joke” about how he “owned the tallest building in New York now”…

Could be worse. Mike and the Mad Dog had such a bad episode from that day that the recording was erased from the archives and all record of it has been destroyed and denied by those involved. The station, WFAN, has every single show from the last 30-40 years on tape, except for that one. The summary was that in the confusing first couple of hours, people were speculating that it was israel that had attacked, so Mike and the Mad Dog went on a giant rant against israel and jews in general, going as far as to call on every jew to take a loyalty pledge to america. Thousands of people heard it and were rightly outraged and the station did everything in their power to sweep it under the rug, which was kinda easy considering what was happening at the time. Everyone was focused on 9/11 and no one cared about what was or what wasn’t said, but enough people were outraged enough to continue bringing it up in the subsequent years afterwards to Mike and the Mad Dog, which would almost always be met with hostility and instant dismissal.

Was told by a family member about how they were at a meeting with other architects when the attacks were happening. Everybody’s dead silent watching it unfold when the boss basically says “well at least they attacked the twin towers and not a nice building”. Wild shit to say in that moment.

Is there anything good about Howard Stern?

The more I learn about the more he is kinda of a dick.

Didn’t he made a former child star be humiliated and then alter she offed herself?

While I’m somewhat sceptical of the claim, I’ve heard that people were editing Hulk Hogan into pictures of the September 11th attacks with in an hour of the first tower being hit.

    10. Listening that morning was how I found out. It was crazy. First was the usual talk about him and Pam. Then reports trickling in. It was something how the attitudes changed when the scope and scale was revealed in real time. I actually liked that show thinking back. The calls he took were real and an example of everyone’s fear, uncertainty, and shock at the time.

    11. There are people who were never born yet that are legally able to drink now. Do with that information what you will.

    12. To be fair after the first one hit no one really knew what was happening. I remember watching the news and they were speculating all over the place and no one was saying an attack.

I was already travelling so I didn’t see the second or them falling but hearing everything over the radio was some kind of tension.
