Shounen parents: Put in a ton of effort and save up to buy a house.
But they never actually move in…
Instead, they just hand the keys to their underage kid and let them turn the place into a hotel for their friends (and, maybe, a ~fuckpad/motel/love hotel~ for their partners if things actually get more serious than holding hands LOL) – all for free!

That’s why I absolutely love both isekai, fantasy and shounen where parents are not only around (like DxD), but also have a major impact and are important characters. Shinmai Maou for example, protag’s dad sometimes helps out with his quest. Death Mage has protag’s mom as one of his strongest allies. Unwanted Undead has dead parents, but his adoptive dad and grandma are still alive and are his mentors, he sometimes drops by to learn new stuff from them.
