A beautiful Roman mosaic from the 4th century CE, showing a labyrinth. The object was found in the imperial palace in Gamzigrad (eastern Serbia). The labyrinth is surrounded by a wall and watchtowers. [1200×1179]

Interestingly, this looks not like a labyrinth (in which you can get into a dead end or make a circle and come back) but as a convoluted and folded single road leading from entry at the top-left to the destination at the center. Am I right?
