I can’t take anime seriously because of the voice acting. It’s a very petty reason, but I can’t help except cringe at how the voice actors are required to portray their characters.

Ya… u just gotta push through it. I mean it didn’t really bother me for that anime specifically but I’ve had times in other shows where I’ve felt similarly. It’s not even that I dislike fan service, it’s just… sometimes it’s annoying? And feels out of place especially in darker shows.
