
An old picture of the ancient Egyptian rock cut temple of Gerf Hussein, that was dedicated to pharaoh Ramesses II and built by Setau in 1241-1216 BCE. Most of the temple is now submerged beneath the waters of the Nile after the building of the Aswan dam project in the 1960s [1322×1954]
