Given the operating cost of an F-16 (fuel, maintenance, ammunition, etc) I’m not sure this is a net win for Ukraine.
Drones are likely more numerous and cheaper than the defensive capabilities that F-16s can provide.
Not saying that they shouldn’t be taking out targets of opportunity if they’re on patrol but sending up an F-16 for a single drone seems like a drain on an already taxed defense.
