How did the sanatorium work? When we see her here, is she believed to be healed, or just no longer contagious? She definitely looks happy.
PBS aired a documentary called, [The Forgotten Plague](https://youtu.be/6lv0vAWbj74) that is fascinating. It talks about the sanitaria, TB’s impact on Westward migration & the fact that the disease is responsible for more deaths than anything else in our history.
What a great piece of history to have !
