    1. I really need Newsom to keep up this energy. I also need him to not be the presidential nominee.

i wish he would do that with his fiscal and queer rights policies too. we need someone to lead by example, not to cower in the face of donors like he’s already shown he is capable of.

    3. Screw Newsom. Just because he has a couple of witty tweets about Trump doesn’t make him Bernie Sanders. The guy is still a Zionist corporate shill.

EDIT: unpopular opinion: shitty, gutless, corporate-ballsucking, genocide supporting, elitist Democrat establishment gave us a second Trump term. What have the democrats done to benefit the working class? Nothing substantial. We need new parties and a new coalition.

EDIT 2: got a lot of backlash from shitlibs. There is a reason why democrats have the lowest ratings that they’ve had in years even when we have a historically criminal administration. The working class needs help not wit or pep talks. We need a new party that fights for us.

    4. I appreciate politicians like Frey and Newsom (Pritzker seems like he would, but I don’t know an instance of it off the top of my head) being willing to drop the F-bomb in the face of disgusting fascism.

I’d appreciate it more if politicians haven’t spent at least my entire life (but probably much much longer) training us to expect harsh words as the be-all and end-all to their resistance to fascist takeover of our government.

He’s one of the better ones we’ve got right now but it’d be cool if he’d stop platforming shitholes like ben shapiro and throwing trans people under the bus to court rightwing voters.

Are there any legal grounds for something like this? Why isn’t Illinois suing numerous neighboring states that clearly help flood Chicago with guns despite Illinois having strict gun laws?

    7. As someone who lives in Louisiana, I regularly tell her and our Cajun elf governor to go fuck themselves.

Any polition who tells another to ” Go fuck yourself”, publically while standing up for their constituents rights, is throwing the right energy.

    9. I probably know more about Newsom than I should (as a non-Californian), and I generally have some issues with his particular brand of NIMBY faux-progressivism…

but… SOMEBODY has to say this shit and carry the torch for basic decency and common sense. I appreciate that he’s doing it, regardless of his grander intentions.

If Gavin stands on a platform of dismantling and prosecuting the Trump regim and his cronies I’m 100% there

    11. I literally just today saw a post asking why this guy is the conversation for President when he’s a “terrible” governor.

I’m not from California and don’t know if he was good at his job, but right now, he’s loudly fighting back and that is what people want to see.

This post effectively answered the other one/

    12. Well they won’t prosecute an insurectionist traitor money laundering for Russia oedo so yeah.

    13. Does this mean CA can extradite people from other states for violating our states laws while not in CA? Would love to see this idea play out.

California needs an independence movement. The regressive parts of the country are beyond help. Invite the rest of the west coast and New Mexico or Nevada to join. America is broken. The rural population is out of touch with reality and festering with hate that should have been expunged after the Civil War.

    15. This is the energy we need, if Newsom runs for president on a platform of going after everyone in the current administration for all the laws they broke, including everyone in ICE and CBP, he and prosecuting everyone in the Epstein files quickly, he would have my vote instantly, add in reforming the system to eliminate the chance a Trump and p2025 ever happens again and I’d give him 2 terms if he moves fast enough in term 1 and produces results.

Really hate that his social team is gonna win him the election and we will have another corporate shill dem in office doing nothing to actually fix anything but I guess anything is better then where we are now

    17. I’m not sure if all this public openness in the choice of language and intentions that Trump started is the right way to deal with problems. Being bold is a sign of strong character but saying what you think all the time is not boldness, rather a sign of low IQ.
