All of this terrorism hosted by Pakistan. Still the USA chooses to support Pakistan by making defence deals, giving freebies. After the 2008 attacks, India sought his extradition, but Pakistan claimed he did not exist and in 2021 even declared him dead. Pakistan eventually captured him in May 2022, to secure its removal from the [FATF](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_Action_Task_Force) [grey list](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_Action_Task_Force_blacklist), and sentenced him to 15 years in prison for financing terrorism, though he was never charged for the 26/11 attacks.
