This is the type of cartoon i love. There is something for kids and when you rewatch it as an adult you get alot more of the stuff you didnt as a child.

I remember when I was little watching this episode of Casper where he was playing with a fox kit. Then I think a hunter comes and shoots the poor fox and Casper buries him and he’s crying over the grave. But then, the ghost of the fox comes out and Casper is happy and they can play forever. It’s like, yeah they end up together and they are happy, but the fox is still dead. Gives me weird bitter sweet feelings.

As an adult? Small mercy I suppose, lol. My great grandma got rid of lots of kittens like that over the decades she helped run the old family farm so I understood it as a kid.
Every spring when all the litters tended to happen at once, she would walk around and sack one or two from each litter and/or any that were messed up/deformed/sick/too runty/etcetc.
