State of Georgia has many uncontested races. This is a strong political environment for Newbies to win. Check out run for something or your local Dem party.

Agreed! In many cases, MORE important than the federal level

At this point, if you have a pulse and no major felonies, put your name down.

Ehh, this needs more context.
If these are seats in strong rural areas where 90% of the vote went to Trump, then I get why people don’t want to waste time.
For example, district 136 in the photo went 80% to the Republican in the previous election.

Wild how no one ran is still a thing. Lowkey feels like an open mic for politics scary, but also kinda hopeful.

You’d think the Democratic Party leadership would be sourcing and financing candidates for these uncontested races…but no. Too busy forcing through DHS funding right after ICE shootings.

You slogan can just be “I’m the one against diddling kids”

I think we should keep some tact in mind. Rural voters (and most any voters) aren’t keen on a bunch of liberal or progressive out of towners coming to their homes to tell them what their problems are and how to fix them.
That’s not to say that this is a bad idea – just remember you are representing them and their interests. If any one is going to do this and be successful, just realize that there are going to be a lot of tough pills to swallow. We have to go in from a place of listening and empathy. This may include having to address completely fictional and non-sensical concerns like pizzagate or daycare scams.

This is true of many states. We all should look into our states and see which races go uncontested. Some of yall could be the change you wish to see
Hey I’m in this picture and I don’t like it. I usually write-in or skip the page entirely.
Gotta say though, as a person from “this area”, I don’t blame someone for not stepping up in some of these districts. There’s a difference between “I’ll probably lose but at least there’s a Democrat on the ticket” and a legitimate exercise in futility.

Maybe people don’t like either party and need to start a new one or run independent? I agree though: running uncontested is a failure for the people.
