Yes but thanks to technology, particularly the Internet, more people are aware of more things people like him do. I agree he’s a horrible human being and maybe the worst in the modern era.
There were some well known people in history who did as bad if not worse (considering when they lived). Some are remember like Nero but most a little known outside certain academic circles or completely forgotten. When they say people raped and pillaged during wars 1000’s of years ago that wasn’t a euphemism. These were times when slaves were legal and common and the age of consent (if there was such a thing) was 12 or 13 and the onset of puberty. Some English kings married queens that age when they were in their 30’s or 40’s and didn’t wait to start producing a legitimate heir.
And that’s before you get into his racial or political beliefs. Wasn’t his dad or grandad a KKK grand dragon and a slum lord. Not to mention the amount of lawsuit’s against him throughout his life
