Trump is absolutely corrupt enough to fake it, but he’s neither smart nor brave enough to pull it off. The shooter was killed on the scene, which is one heck of compensation package. The payout to everyone involved would be huge and leaks would spring immediately. Trump can’t even hold a conspiracy meeting to overthrow an election without half the room ratting him out because loyalty in their world is just to themselves.
More importantly, there’s no way that cadet bone spurs stands there and lets them shoot him in the ear. That would require him to believe in something strongly enough to put his life on the line. No way.

I know it’s appropriating the tools of the oppressor (in this case conspiracy theories) to fight oppression, and on an even more basic level Trump’s a raging hypocrite for this, so I’m all for saying it.
But just as a reality check, there is absolutely no way anyone would stage an attack on an important target with real ammunition, take a shot at someone’s moving head, or even take a shot anywhere near them.
He was a poor shot and his equipment wasn’t great for it. He probably just barely broke skin. It’s a total matter of luck that he’s alive.
