Accept Taiwan and China are both Han Chinese country’s that killed the real natives of Taiwan and moved foreign people in. Taiwan and China fighting is like California deciding it’s not American anymore. It’s even worse because Taiwans people are literally Chinese people who moved 40 miles away.

Two things to note.
1. The government of Taiwan and of China both claim to be the government of both China and Taiwan. The Taiwanese government is directly descended from a right wing fascist nut job who lost a war with the communists, stole everything that wasn’t bolted to the floor, and booked it to Taiwan. The two have called each other illegitimate ever since.
2. A LOT of China is uninhabitable. Like most of it. So Taiwan does in fact represent a large portion of habitable land and economic activity that cannot be replicated in central China.
