Xabungle is an early 80s post apocalyptic sci-fi/mecha anime that aired for around 50 episodes. The series featured tons of hilarious comedic moments along with couples of genuinely dark storyline and other serious topic while managing to tell it really well. From the vibrant characters, great mecha combat and amazing characters dynamic, Xabungle is one of the most underrated anime of that era that as of now, is even fully available on YouTube for anyone wanting to see the series.

Also another fun fact, 2 of the most manga authors, Akira Toriyama (Dr Slump, Dragon Ball) and Eiichiro Oda (One Piece) are known to be a big fan of the series to the point of making small reference of it in their manga.
