Denmark is already a US ally and part of NATO. The US already has troops stationed there. There is no logical reason for the US to need Greenland. Anything the US would want to do, we’re already doing or can do that in collaboration with our NATO partners.

Does Trump not understand that in some instances, troops on dogsleds is more effective than troops using snowmobiles? For example, if it’s an extreme temperature like -40F or less, engines may not work. Sleds are also almost silent, and other reasons.
“Denmark uses sleds so they must not have an effective military” is an analogy that shows a total lack of comprehension, which is fine for Joe Blow who sells MAGA and KKK merch out of his gas station in Bucksnort, Tennessee, but not a president leading the “greatest country in the world”.

NATO’S Article 5 for collection military action when one of their Members is attacked has only been invoked ONCE in its 75 years of existence. That occurred when the United States was attacked in September 2001.
