    1. He said he needed a way to defend himself, I offered him a second sword, but he had said no. Pity he had to die.

    2. I know it’s just a joke, but no investment is “free money.” There is always risk involved.

    3. “As soon as the land of any country has all become private property, the landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed, and demand a rent even for its natural produce”

Gotta be my favorite Adam Smith quote!

    4. Let’s just wait another real estate market crash, if it reaches 90% I might buy a house

    5. pretty sure building a house is very much “sowing”, so “reaping” rent while the renters get to “reap” the housing is a pretty good deal. Not that reddit would understand that.

theres absolutely an ethical way to be a landlord, dont charge your 2 bed 1 bath tenants 3k on a piece of property thats full paid off yk, give them something fair and livable

like this same discussion can be held for any type of company, pay your employees liveable wages, give your clients fair prices, we dont have to squeeze every last dollar out of these people

      >Just invest

      >It’s free money

How is it free money if you have to invest your money into it?

    8. If you don’t want to be a renter, then go out and buy land/house with your own money
