NGL I have never heard the term sky puppies before. The other day I found a post about someone giving alcohol to a pigeon as a joke which ultimately led to the death of the pigeon and everyone was asking for the prosecution of said person and saying how awful they were. I guess people just choose which animals they care about based on what makes them feel better about themselves. Classic speciesism.
Pigeons are doves, though. It’s right there already!

That being said, I wouldnt be cruel to them. They’re just birds they dont know better. Peta is so weird with how they try to advocate for animal rights. Feels like they always miss the mark.
Being objective, we as conscious* beings raised pigeons as they were useful to us. They saved countless lives in wars and connecting people as messengers, and when they became obsolete we essentially released them and now we consider them pests since they live near us. There should be an ethical, third non person evolutionary responsibility towards them from us.
I already like pigeons.
