Putin invaded looking for more territory. The US isn’t looking to occupy Venezuela, when Venezuela nationalized it’s mineral wealth, a lot of share holders were upset.
This is corporate ‘justice’ that will be rectified by a new government in a ‘fair election’ that will ensure corporations profit off their resources just as much as they do off everyone else’s resources. The US just wants corporate rights and will leave the country to flounder in a power vaccum as long as shareholders are happy.

Are you suggesting that Putin sending his armed forces to occupy another sovereign nation, resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands of combatants and civilians, where he makes claim to a large percentage of the country, is the same as the tightly focused and executed military extraction of an illegitimate leader, who the Biden administration put a 25 million dollar bounty on? It appears the only casualties, according to reports from the Venezuelan authorities, were ~40 military personnel involved in the firefight with US forces. Quite how you can consider this to be the same as what Putin’s up to in Ukraine just shows your naivety.
Just to make it clear, I absolutely do not support Trump’s actions, here. I think it’s an absolute abomination that sets a dangerous precedent. Russia, China, and others will almost certainly learn something from this. It will almost certainly lead to second-order consequences that destabilize unexpected regions. My first guess is that this will somehow increase the likelihood of China invading Taiwan, which will impact global electronics supply chains in ways we just can’t imagine. Bit of a tangent, there…
As much as I disagree with Trump’s policies and actions, equating this with Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is ridiculous.
