Been using Pop OS, its genuinely like rediscovering my love for computers again.

And I used to be a windows supporter begrudgingly for the pure fact that most software focuses on windows builds, but with wine, its not even a question to swap for me. Fuck Microsoft.

I tried switching to Mint but immediately missed my specialized software. How is the gaming support lately?

    3. Simple but fun, loved rage comics

The nostalgia I’m feeling by having my feed suddenly full of them

    4. Also the MS account. That’s the most annoying thing IMO. You can work around it for now, but MS is actively trying to break all the workarounds.

Linux users trying to do anything but talk about moving from Windows to Linux: (it’s literally impossible)

    6. Pretty much what im doing with my side PC, it barely could run W10, so wont be able to run W11 (even if it insist that it could).

I mean yeah, but It’s pretty easy to delete copilot. Oh and if your laptop has a copilot key, it turns back into Win key.

    8. And no support for all those small program that you use more often than you realize without any linux alternative 😐

    9. Not against Linux, I like it and use it. However, there are many options and adjustments that you can do to get rid of all of the ads and AI shit you don’t want. It’s not even shady stuff.

    10. Or just never install Windows 11. Stick with windows 10. Or if you do have windows 11, never shut down your computer because that could force a Windows update, just hibernate it. That way Windows update never installs.

Installed Zorin and then Fedora on my Surface this past week. Switched back in 2 days. Too many errors to deal with and gave me a bad headache. If there’s one that doesn’t have as many errors and works smoothly with Laptops/Surface, I would love to know

I’m still waiting on our lord and savior Gabe to make steamOS good so I can get rid of windows while also not being a filthy fucking Linux user

There’s a few videos showcasing some work around with Win 10 being unsupported, and no signing up for extended protection isn’t one of them because it’s well known now, I can’t recall who it was but it was a video on twitter by a guy using a furry avatar talking about messing around in the CMD to give yourself I think 4 years of protection

I’ve got into Linux bubble lately, but wasn’t expect more of (true and only right) Linux propaganda on mainstream memes sub

And I was triggered by ad in Windows search BTW
(No, I’m not on Arch BTW)
      [OpenSUSE BTW]

You can, of course, install AI if you want to.

And that’s the point. If you want to. Microsoft doesn’t get to decide for you.

Me who need my gamepass which doesn’t exist on linux :/ I also choose an OS with AI fetatures I don’t use instead of an OS I might one day NEED to use a feture I don’t want to use. I’m looking at you terminal!

I recommend cachyos if u plan to game on linux. That distro squeezes every bit of performance out of ur hardware making it good for gaming.

I can’t be doing with these new fangagled rage comics. Back in my day we used demotivational posters, and we liked it.

Installed CachyOS on my new desktop. Zero regrets. Never looking back. No real problems so far. It just works.

    20. After I’ve seen the most games now run on Linux, it’s the first time that I’m thinking of changing. The problem now is knowing to what Linux I should change

    21. I want to transition to linux but all the software I need for work are not supported 🙁
