We shot a couple pumpkins with a .223 a few Halloweens back and left one outside overnight when it dipped below freezing – next morning the water inside had expanded and split it wide open from the bullet holes, chunks everywhere like it exploded twice. Looks just like what happened here after the cold snap hit. Makes for cool destruction photos but cleanup was a pain.
