Every time I see the bugs in Australia it reaffirms my decision to not visit. I’m sure it’s lovely and the people are great, but I cannot handle the size of the bugs I’ve seen. I would just die if one were to be near me. Can appreciate the ecodiversity though

It looks cool but that would unironically scare me to death if I saw that just on my back.

Why is Australia so weird and people are fearless with wild animals. How is this kid not scared and has a causal posture like asking someone to hand him the salt from the other side of the table while he has this thing breathing on his neck.
I won’t be visiting

I picked up a brown one of these thinking it was a stick a few years ago. Scared the crap out of me when it moved.

I remember as a child having one of these walk under the toilet door once. I was screaming like a little b*tch. I thought I was going to die.

We got the regular sized ones where I live, they aren’t terribly uncommon either. I’ve spent my whole 35 years outdoors and nothing, never saw one in person outside a zoo. They are really good at their jobs.

And that’s the cute little guy [the newly discovered one](https://share.google/images/DnIhSvT0qHeqxKkT6) is a bit more daunting to come across at night.
Your son belongs to him now. Say your goodbyes.
it’s not poisonous, razor sharp, and hiding in your shoe? worst Australian bug ever, upvote anyway
Throw out the entire child
Bro who’s the poor kid it’s placed on for the pose?
This is the end.. hold your breath and count to ten
Seriously, what is it with Australia always having some huge version of otherwise small insects? What the hell happened there?
My kid is scared of butterflies. Visiting Australia is not an option.
Honey, my tree’s moving!
