When something is arbitrary to a point where there holds no objective definition, it’s meaningless

Cis men acting like assholes? Well this is obviously Trans peoples fault! /s

Why has this sub got so full of ignorance, bigotry, and terrible logic recently?

    2. In situations like this I ask myself – what if things were reversed?

“Male only tech career conference – no women allowed”.

Would that fly or be burnt to the ground online?

    3. Great for them, fuck that conference.

Lmao, reading all the seething anger from comments on Twitter are just fucking hilarious.

It’s the special kind of outrage that comes from them having caused exactly this.

And they couldn’t actually call any individual out, so they just had fucking deal with it. Going out on stage, fists clenched in anger, a row of shit-eating grins staring back at them from the men, having to awkwardly go “Some of you lied about your gender… and I can’t say who. It worked. We can’t stop you, you’ve just gotten the opportunities and interviews you did.”

That’s fucking hysterical, one of the funniest things I’ve seen all week.

Non binary people aren’t men or women? Probably shouldn’t be included in women in tech.

The headline is totally wrong; the men just showed up as men because it wasn’t a “women’s only” tech conference. They weren’t “registering as non-binary” to anyone’s knowledge, and didn’t need to, because the conference was always intended to be open to men.

It’s sexist to have mens only stuff but *checks notes* women only things are everywhere and not considered sexist.

I think men just showed up and registered as whatever they wanted because they event staff are legally required to allow men to participate so they aren’t breaking federal anti-discrimination laws

but sure spin whatever narrative you want

    8. My sister went to some kinda women in business conference, and then a man went on stage and started the conference, introducing the male key note speaker… That’s when she realized she was in the wrong event center room. She had already helped herself to their pastries and whatnot.

Both conferences were relevant to her job, but the women’s conference had a full breakfast and a schedule that meshed with hers while the other conference just had pastries and conflicted with her meeting schedule.

God I love manufactures outrage that is also just plain false. This was never closed or to men and was never women only.

Stop looking so hard for persecution. People aren’t out to get you. Get off the fucking cross we need the god damn wood

    10. I don’t understand a single thing going on here from title to captions.

      And i don’t care

    11. It’s incredibly transphobic to even question her gender identity. If she says she’s a woman there can be no question about it. It’s unaceptable how transphobic these women complaying are, we need to expose and cancel them!

I, a man, get several invites every year to “women in tech” conferences.

      These conferences aren’t “women only”.

    13. Fox News is all over this, as if right wing culture warriors actually give a shit about women.

    14. This used to be self-evident a few months ago, and until then throughout human history.
