Something similar happened to me when I was a teenager. I was convinced my brother put a plastic frog in my car to scare me, so I put a plastic snake in his bed. He jumped and banged his head on the overhead lamp which broke and sprayed glass everywhere.

One time, when I was a kid, my mom ordered a frog through the mail and it came dried and she put it into the fish tank and it rehydrated. Eventually it went missing from the tank and a year or so later she found it under the carpet dried up and figured “hey, why not?” and dropped it back into the tank and it came to life again
