The real story is in the boots on the floor. Earlier that morning, Lee Miller had been documenting the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp. Those boots are literally covered in the dust and ash of the Holocaust. She intentionally stomped that dirt onto Hitler’s personal bathmat before getting into his tub to wash it off. While she was taking this photo in Munich, Hitler was committing suicide in his bunker in Berlin. You couldn't write a more cynical and poetic ending to a regime.

That missing grout in the right corner is really bugging me.
Why is Hitler’s photo sitting on Hitler’s tub?
I wonder what that little controller does

I get the irony of the boots and dust but, being in Hitlers tub looking like you are a s-kitten, ain’t hitting all cylinders for me. It’s gross.
This was one tough person. I read her story.
Her story is incredible.
Unlike Kate Winslet, her boobs are not visible at every opportunity.
Is this where the film lee with Kate Winslet comes in?
Hitler had a picture of himself in his bathroom?
This is funny to see, I just read about this in *Five Days That Shocked the World* like 2 hours ago
