For oled TVs actually not the worst idea. LG for example runs a pixel compensation cycle after 4h of accumulative use (upon turning it off). Because of that, continuous use over days is a bad idea.

Idk a TV works different from a fridge. I mean if the TV is actively being used, whatever. But if no one is watching, turn it off.
Our living room TV is large and when you walk by it you can feel the heat coming off it. So I just imagine the amount of energy it needs to stay on.
My bedroom TV is set to turn itself off after a certain amount of inactivity which is perfect since I like to fall asleep with it on.

That’s why I bought an LG fridge so I don’t have to be stuck with the same fridge year after year

My dad : turn off the power strip to be energy efficient
Meanwhile there’s over 70 lights in the house, three fridge, two computer, and other big machines never turned off
