Me not being able to listen to new music anymore because it might be ai, and ai is disturbing slop.

    2. Images are getting hard, but most still have giveaways. Videos are still easy. And I don’t have much experience with the Audio side, but from what I have heard they seem pretty easy, but that might have changed now.

The real problem is the mindset of looking for AI. An image with dead giveaways can still be convincing if you’re not paying attention. When you’re doomscrolling you’re not going over every image you seen with a magnifying glass looking for discrepancies, you’re just ingesting whatever “content” gets thrown at you. The context really matters. Being handed multiple images and being ask to identify the AI image, is much easier than trying to identify AI images out in the wild. Give it a few more years and it’ll be nearly impossible, even for those who aren’t fooled today.

    3. What’s even funnier is that AI has not even been exploited to the worst effect yet, I.E using it to generate evidence admissible in court

    4. Use critical thinking. You will be fine.

Fakes are nothing new. People still believe in bigfoot…
Some people even believe in fictional beings from thousand years old books. Crazy, right?

I’m getting suspicious when the clip is shorter than, say, 12 seconds. Then I will begin looking for “off” things. Minute-long videos are usually real or the AI is very obvious. But that’s just a matter of time. (no pun intended)

    6. *Congrats! First step to finally letting go of the hateboner and just enjoying funny videos on the internet yet again.*

    7. I still can but I know one day I won’t be able to. I am just teaching myself to not trust anything on the internet.

My thing is, I will see an image and immediately think it’s ai. Its just framed in a certain way and in a certain art style that screams ai to me. But then I’ll count the fingers, check if hair merges with itself or other objects, look for nonsensical props or weird positions for objects etc. And I won’t find anything objective to justify my claim

To me it still has this gross uncanny feel to it.

I can be fooled when the image quality is altered etc but that’s no different than edited vids etc,n you should always do your research anyway with all the misinformation out there.

This should help with training yourself to spot the difference. The images and subject change every day from my understanding.

Realistically, for images, you couldn’t for two years now.

You just got used to seeing the obvious fakes and those obvious fakes getting better overtime, not the actual high end realism images.
