Hate to say it man, but the person you downvoted never said “this might be projection” he said “this might be A projection,” meaning “you might be projecting this online despite it not being how you are IRL”
Edit: it also could mean “maybe this is just the view of you I get when I see a comment like that” as in he’s projecting his idea of what the commenter is like, not projecting himself on the commenter
