On December 17th 1903, the Wright Brothers became the first people to fly in a heavier than air (not a balloon) powered (not a glider) aircraft.

    1. To bad they tried to patented the whole idea of an airplane to make a shit load of money. Not just the designs they made but patented the idea of a thing flying with wings and an engine. Thank god because if this the US patented office changed the rules making it so people can only paten the plans and not a whole idea. You can thank Glenn H Curtiss for really “taking off” on airplane designs in the US
