Madam, this child is barely a toddler. If his mind hath become so rotted at such a young and impressionable age, there has been a grave folly along the way

How was I just tricked into watching a child learning to count for a full minute?

Okay calm down, that kid doesn’t necessarily know that meme from watching it online. Maybe he has an older sibling or contact with older kids, preteen cousin or whatever, who do that movement and laugh and he picked it up. My son heard about Skibidi Toilet from the older brother of a fellow kindergartener. He doesn’t watch that rubbish at home, but that doesn’t stop him from knowing about it. Still doesn’t really know what it is, anyway.
The mum sounds fine too, it’s just her dialect that may seem a bit harsh to people who aren’t used to it. The wee one doesn’t seem intimidated at all. She may have cut him some slack for confusing nine and six because they look so similar, might have explained the difference. But maybe she has done that before? Sometimes it takes a while before it sticks and she keeps correcting him, so he’s gonna learn it eventually. 🤷

How does she not understand that the 9 looks like an inverted 6 to him? You can see he’s stuck on that as he repeatedly states that it is a six. Her role would be to teach him the difference, not just drill those numbers.

Why is this bad? This little boy looks about 3 years old. Many preschools have their children wear uniform. It’s appropriate that he doesn’t recognise all the numbers yet. Seems likely he knows how to count to 10 without the board.
My 3 year old also says 6-7 and he had never seen an ipad in his life. Never watched YouTube. It’s just something his cousins and classmates say and think it’s funny.
The mums tone is completely normal for the north of England. As other posters have said the child is not intimidated at all as its standard.
Please genuinely let me know what is wrong with this?
