Her name is not Saturday; it is Saturday Morning. The only way this gets better is if her name were Saturday Morning Cartoons.

Went to college with a girl called Tuesday. I got really used to it, she was my then girlfriends best mate so I saw her a lot. It stopped being a day of the week for me and started being a name. Crazy days

I knew a guy whose name was Smith Norman. Dude couldn’t get a job at McDonald’s. When he followed up on his application they said it was rejected for inability to follow directions. I met him a couple of years later in a highly specialized, very difficult course in a military intelligence unit. He wasn’t stupid. Also, I used a fake name but it was similar.

I don’t want to give the exact names for privacy reasons but my (aging hippy) parents followed a pattern of unique name + more traditional middle name for both my sister and I.
My sister’s name is a food name that is commonly paired with something else. It’s not Biscuit but imagine the equivalent of everyone asking “so that makes you Gravy?” about fifty percent of the time and me having to laugh like I hadn’t heard that joke a million times already. Most people assume it’s a nickname.
I was named after a stripper friend of theirs, so at least it’s a real name but with an uncommon spelling. That’s also not a story you can tell when your boss asks you about your unique name.

this is why you shouldn’t go to far out even your child a “different” name. Your child is gonna have to put up with people’s attitudes, mispronunciations, “who picked that name?” the rest of their lives and yes that shit do be tiring.
the number of days I spent wishing my name was like Mary growing up or too many.
