Doctors pulled this massive clot out of my leg today. (Surgeons had no bananas on hand, sorry).

Wow thanks for sharing. That sucks that you had to go through all that for a cool story. Glad you’re doing better with at least that and here’s hoping the other gets better also.

    2. Kind of reminds me of the guy that tilted his head back when he had a nose bleed. After while he developed problems breathing and went to the hospital. They pulled out a blood clot that mapped the ventricals of his lungs.

    3. My wife is a vascular tech. She found this fascinating. I have been gagging for 10 minutes.

    4. That’s a typical DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis).

I had a similar experience, including the clots in the lungs. Eliquis for life. (If you can’t afford Eliquis, DM me. I got mine in India factory direct. I was buying from the Canadian Pharmacy, but it would arrive direct from India – so, I went direct. A year supply for about $100.)

Don’t worry about the thymus. You don’t need it. I had mine removed to try and reduce the severity of an autoimmune. I don’t suppose you have Myasthenia gravis, do you? The abnormal thymus is one of the supposed triggers.

Hey man. So glad you’re ok. Besides the most amazing blood clot I’ve ever seen, I’m really curious about your tattoo. Is that space Garfield, or what?

What do you mean you were awake for the whole thing? Could they not knock you out to do surgery with a general anesthesia?

Hell I even had something that blocked out everything when I had my wisdom teeth removed.

    7. I’m so sorry. That’s a lot to deal with. I hope recovery goes well and the financial department at the hospital is kind and helpful.

    8. My dad just had a clot removed probably about that size in almost the same location, his was higher up where the two veins meet. So glad to hear you got it sorted out and wishing you a speedy recovery 🙂

    9. My mom died of a pulmonary embolism. The clot that killed her started exactly like yours. The only difference between her story and yours is that she refused to go to the hospital when she could have fixed it. She was 47 years old.
