Hopefully there will still be some snow over the next years^^. Once things are back to normal, I would like to at least once in my life see Moscow during Christmas. When my mother was still alive, we made a New York Christmas trip. Sadly, we could never go on another holiday like that.

    4. *pushes up glasses* um technically Germany did win against Russia during ww1 because they signed a separate peace treaty with Russia and they exited the war. 🤓

    5. Historically, their harsh winters and untamed wilderness has been the reason they werent conquered.

Well, that and their willingness to sacrifice hundreds of millions of soldiers in suicidal head long assaults.

    6. They already are. It got much warmer in recent 5 years. Today is the first day of this winter when we have temperatures below zero.

    7. Russia hearing “less harsh winters” like alright cool, we’ve adapted to worse. Wake me up when it’s beach weather.

    8. I saw a documentation film of a part of russia where they would like it very much, if the winter would ne less cold.

    9. That’s also means what Russian civilisation will access more land what previous was way tol cold and more exists to ocean.

Imagine training for centuries around ‘weaponized winter’
just for climate change to say “*nah*”

    11. This myth has been debunked over and over. Only Barbarossa failed because of the cold. The rest were just German disadvantages.

    12. We’re still technically in an Ice Age. The world has been so much hotter in the past and there is sure to be a mass extinction again. Whether we are alive to see it happen or not is irrelevant and though we may have accelerated the process with mass co2 emissions, a simple volcano eruption or massive earthquake could release millions of tons in seconds so its almost irrelevant to bring up human intervention as well. The Climate Changes because were in an chaotic system of unpredictable nature, its 19° in town today, its gonna be 60° by Friday, im gonna be wearing shorts and doing yard work but right now i can barely function outside. Nature is just taking its natural course

    13. Shit, this is so tempting to comment, but I was banned for Russophobia so many times, that I’m too afraid of that.
