You know, in the US it’s estimated that about 0.7% of the population are trans. That doesn’t seem like a common enough occurrence to be an existential threat, but maybe I’m wrong. I wonder what percentage of Americans are pedophiles. I wonder what percentage of people in his administration are pedophiles. I bet at least one of those is a lot higher than 0.7%.

I don’t think he actually gives a shit one way or the other about trans people so when they tell him he needs to talk about it he just sort of goes with the same line of attack he might use with, say, “the libs are coming for your guns” except it’s giving you gender affirming surgery against your will.
Why it works on people who presumably do know why they’re scared of trans people, I’ll never understand.

For the number of insane, pointless strays trans people catch just for existing, I think we should each be allowed to force-fem at least one Republican.
Like, if we’re gonna keep being maligned as a political target for no goddamn reason, it seems only fair we get to justify the hate a little bit.

It’s weird if you really think about it from their perspective, in their mind there are only two genders so by their own logic an AMAB person transitioning into a transgender woman and a AFAB person transitioning into a transgender man wouldn’t change the ratio of gender at all. I mean what are transgender people to them really? To me it sounds like they’re treating transgender people as a third gender which is ironic.
